League City, TX (October 29, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the League City area claimed the life of one person on Wednesday afternoon. At around 1:15 p.m., on October 28, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 45.
Reports provided by authorities show that 19-year-old Keniqua Pleasant was exiting Interstate 45. In doing so, her vehicle crashed into the vehicle driven by 46-year-old Jeremy Campbell.
The impact of the crash caused Campbell’s vehicle to go out into the feeder road where it was struck by another vehicle. The impact of that crash then sent Campbell’s vehicle over the retaining wall where it crashed into a bulldozer.
Campbell sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Pleasant attempted to flee the scene of the crash with a stolen vehicle. However, she was apprehended and arrested for failure to stop and render aid as well as the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway.
