Nacogdoches, TX (March 25, 2021) - Three people were killed during a head-on collision on Wednesday, March 24th in east Texas.
The crash took place at about 7:00 p.m. on State Highway 7, just outside of Nacogdoches.
According to sources, a 2017 Chevrolet was driving westbound along the highway while a 2020 Buick SUV was driving eastbound. For reasons that have yet to be determined, the Chevrolet swerved into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the Buick.
A passenger in the Chevrolet, Brandon Guy, 26, a resident of Mansfield, was pronounced dead at the scene as was the vehicle’s driver who has not yet been identified.
The driver of the Buick, Sarah Barton, 23, a resident of Laurel Hill, NC, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Her passenger, Sammy Bell, 40, a resident of Center, was transported via ambulance to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
