\Houston, TX (January 12, 2021) – One woman has lost her life following a motor vehicle accident involving a fleeing driver in Harris County. Reports from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, at approximately 8:30 p.m., on January 11, police received the request for assistance at an apartment building located on West Gulf Bank Road.
Reports show that a female was involved in an argument with someone at the apartment building. As she took off from the complex in her vehicle, she struck a parked car. The woman then fled east on West Gulf Bank Road.
As the woman traveled through a red light at the intersection with Antoine Drive, she crashed into a second vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the woman in the second vehicle to be ejected.
EMS treated the woman at the scene. However, she passed away due to the extent of her injuries while on-site.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
