Beaumont, TX (January 29, 2021) – An automobile accident reported on Monday evening in the Beaumont area claimed the life of one man. Just before midnight on January 25, emergency crews were called to the site of a crash on Eastex Freeway.
Reports from authorities show that 28-year-old Herman L Alexander, who was from Beaumont, was riding his bicycle in the 8800 block of Eastex Freeway (US Highway 69) when he was struck by a vehicle.
Alexander was rushed to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
