Houston, TX (August 15, 2021) - A motorcyclist identified as Christopher Favela lost his life after he was involved in a fatal crash on a highway in Houston. The wreck was reported at around 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 15.
Favela was riding his sports motorcycle east on the East Freeway when a driver identified as Stephanie Franco was headed in the same direction. Information from officials states that Favela collided with the rear-end of Franco’s vehicle.
The impact ejected Favela from his bike, according to reports. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medical professionals. The freeway was shut down for several hours after the incident occurred in order to allow responders to clear the scene.
Franco suffered no injuries in the accident. The freeway was reopened around 9:00 a.m.
Authorities in Houston continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
