Houston, TX (October 6, 2020) – An accident reported in the Houston area claimed the lives of multiple victims on Monday. Just after 1:30 p.m., on October 5, the Houston Fire Department responded to the scene of a crash on Town and Country Boulevard.
Reports show that a crew of 240 construction workers were on-site building the new headquarters for the Houston-based Marathon Oil, on Town and Country Boulevard just off Interstate 10, when a temporary staircase collapsed.
The staircase was position between the 13th and 14th floor of the tower.
Three people were killed in this incident. One worker was injured. The injured victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
