Houston, TX (October 20, 2020) – One woman lost her life after a pedestrian accident reported in the Houston area on Monday morning. At around 7 a.m., on October 19, emergency crews in Harris County were called to the scene of an accident on Kimberly Lane.
According to reports, a woman and her 2-year-old child were traveling through the 13100 block of Kimberly Lane in a sedan. For unknown reasons, the woman drove her vehicle off the road near Brittmoore Road and crashed into a stop sign. The vehicle then continued forward and struck a 70-year-old woman who was walking with her friend on the sidewalk.
The woman, identified later as Carol Ansel, was critically injured in the crash. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Neither the driver nor her child was injured in this accident.
At this time, the Houston Police Department is investigating the accident.
