Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Texas
Motor vehicle accidents happen far too often in our state. In fact, statistics show that one accident occurs roughly every two minutes that result in injuries. These accidents add up to more than 270,000 each year. Although we hope that everyone is able to recover from their injuries, more than 3,600 people end up passing away as a result of their injuries. Motorcyclists account for over 500 victims killed in auto accidents throughout our state each year. Although most people believe that motorcyclists are always responsible for accidents, the majority are caused by the negligence of other motorists sharing the roads.
The unfortunate truth is that no matter how vigilant we are in ensuring the safety of others sharing the road, there is no guarantee that all motorists will pay the same respect to us. As a result, we continue to see people harmed or killed in accidents caused by negligent, reckless, and distracted drivers.
