Houston, TX (September 28, 2020) – An accident reported early Monday morning claimed one woman’s life in the Houston area. At approximately 6:20 a.m., on September 28, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of an accident on Westheimer Road.
Reports from police show that a female was traveling through the intersection of Westheimer Road and Dunvale Road while in a wheelchair when she was struck by a vehicle that was traveling west along Westheimer Road.
Officers and paramedics both responded to the site of the accident. However, the extent of injuries sustained by the victim was too severe. She was declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway by the Houston Police Department.
