Pasadena, TX - Couple Seriously Burned in Apartment Fire on S. Shaver St

Pasadena, TX (September 02, 2021) - A huge fire that started inside a downstairs unit in an apartment complex in Pasadena has left one couple seriously injured and dozens of residents homeless on Tuesday, August 31st.

The fire broke out in the 3600 block of South Shaver near Allen-Genoa at about 4:15 a.m.

16 to 20 units and several vehicles were affected by the blaze. By 110:00 a.m., crews were razing what was left of the building, including the possessions of those who lived there.

The Pasadena Fire Marshal confirmed the fire began inside unit 108, where the injured couple lives.

The wife, identified as Tracy Nichols, was med flighted to the hospital in critical condition. Her husband, Saul Rodriguez, was transported by ambulance. He sustained burns to most of his body while attempting to save his wife.
